Frequently Asked Questions
Is there parking available?
Yes! We have a large car park adjacent to the property.
Do you allow dogs?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed inside. This is simply due to the necessarily snug configuration of chairs and tables, which means even the most well-behaved dog can unintentionally become a tripping hazard for guests and staff. We genuinely regret any inconvenience this may cause.
Dogs are, however, more than welcome in our outside areas, where you'll find bowls and fresh water sources available.

Are you child-friendly?
Yes! We have coloring pages and high-chairs available on request, fun child-friendly drinks and dedicated kids' menu, and an outdoor sink for washing grubby hands without having to traipse through the pub to wash up before a meal. We even have a tiny toilet - especially for littles - inside our Accessible/Family loo.
We also hope, in future, to have a dedicated play area outside. Watch this space!

What else is there to do in Perry Green to make a nice 'day out'?
You're in luck! If you like art and/or history, there's no better place to go than literally across the road to the Henry Moore Studios and Gardens. As the historic property and family home of the artist and sculptor Henry Moore, it's a beautifully curated space dedicated to his life, work, and a continued love, appreciation, and promotion of the visual arts. You can go on a guided tour through his family home, Hoglands - which has been meticulously kept ‘caught in a moment of time’ as though Henry was still living there and only stepped out for a minute. There are various larger sculptures to be seen around the grounds and in the sheep fields beyond, in addition to his studios, tapestries, and various other interactive gallery spaces.
Visit their website to find out more.

Are there any good walks nearby?
Absolutely! If you’re up for a walk, we’re on the cusp of several lovely little circular routes. The Hoops is but a minor detour off the Hertfordshire Way, if you fancy a meal or some refreshment while on a long-distance ramble. Equally, if you’d rather park at the pub and take a stroll before or after some grub, there are several little loops that take in the larger sculptures of Henry Moore alongside babbling brooks, grassy fields, bluebell woods, and (depending on the time of year) lots of sweet little newborn lambs.
Here are a few ideas to get you going! When you're back, there's a boot scraper and a hose outside if you need to rid yourself of any mud, and either a roaring log fire or cold drink waiting for you in the Hoops - depending on what you fancy!
